Experience

2013 - Current
Twinkle Toes Software, LLC

Founder & President

I founded Twinkle Toes Software in 2013 on the belief that software products are most successful when the authors listen to and collaborate with their users. In this role, I am responsible for software development, operations, sales, financials, and customer service. This company is nimble - able to respond to change and adapt to challenges.

Twinkle Toes primarily provides professional services to support Booked Scheduler, a popular  scheduling application of which I am the author.

2019 - Present
Dotmatics

Senior Architect & Development Manager

The mission of Dotmatics is to build the worlds largest scientific R&D platform.

I joined LabArchives, which was later acquired by Dotmatics, to build and launch a new product in their portfolio, and subsequently grow the software development team.

I am primarily responsible for the evolution of the LabArchives platform architecture. I am very active in daily application development.

I also help find, recruit, hire, and grow a talented team of software developers.

Senior Development Manager

I led 3 teams of engineers through enhancements and re-architecture of the systems responsible for Wayfair’s proprietary product replenishment process.

Pampered Chef

Engineering Manager

As a servant leader, I coached and managed 14 engineers across 3 teams, building skills in incremental software delivery.

Collaborating with our HR partners, I helped interview, hire, and build a new engineering team.

I created a technology internship program, coordinating on-campus presentations, designing an internship curriculum, hiring interns, and identifying conversion targets.

2014 - 2016
CDK Global

Development Manager

I started off managing a team of 3 people, eventually growing into coaching, mentoring, and managing 3 development teams totaling nearly 30 people spread across 4 locations.

As part of the platform team, I evaluated tools, technologies, vendors and solutions to ensure we build when needed and buy when it makes sense.

2013 - 2014
Falcon Insurance Company

Architect

I was responsible for overall architecture, design and technical vision for all of Falcon’s internal and customer-facing products, including underwriting, claims and insured systems.

As part of a small team, I led the adoption of Agile processes and tools including Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Jira, Selenium, SpecFlow, nUnit, and Jasmine, putting structure around development and streamlining delivery.

Principal Engineer

I was recruited to the redbox instant team to lead the architecture, design and development of platform systems and services as we launched redbox instant to market.

2005 - 2012
Redbox

I joined redbox when it was a company of 30 people. Working on a small team of talented engineers, we utilized XP and lean practices like TDD and CD to drive redbox's explosive growth from 600 locations to nearly 25,000.

Eventually, I led the team responsible for building internal, enterprise systems used by our corporate and field employees.
