Twinkle Toes Software, LLCFounder & President
I founded Twinkle Toes Software in 2013 on the belief that software products are most successful when the authors listen to and collaborate with their users. In this role, I am responsible for software development, operations, sales, financials, and customer service. This company is nimble - able to respond to change and adapt to challenges.
Twinkle Toes primarily provides professional services to support Booked Scheduler, a popular scheduling application of which I am the author.
2019 - Present
DotmaticsSenior Architect & Development Manager
The mission of Dotmatics is to build the worlds largest scientific R&D platform.
I joined LabArchives, which was later acquired by Dotmatics, to build and launch a new product in their portfolio, and subsequently grow the software development team.
I am primarily responsible for the evolution of the LabArchives platform architecture. I am very active in daily application development.
I also help find, recruit, hire, and grow a talented team of software developers.
2018 - 2019
WayfairSenior Development Manager
I led 3 teams of engineers through enhancements and re-architecture of the systems responsible for Wayfair’s proprietary product replenishment process.
2016 - 2018
Pampered ChefEngineering Manager
As a servant leader, I coached and managed 14 engineers across 3 teams, building skills in incremental software delivery.
Collaborating with our HR partners, I helped interview, hire, and build a new engineering team.
I created a technology internship program, coordinating on-campus presentations, designing an internship curriculum, hiring interns, and identifying conversion targets.
2014 - 2016
CDK GlobalDevelopment Manager
I started off managing a team of 3 people, eventually growing into coaching, mentoring, and managing 3 development teams totaling nearly 30 people spread across 4 locations.
As part of the platform team, I evaluated tools, technologies, vendors and solutions to ensure we build when needed and buy when it makes sense.
2013 - 2014
Falcon Insurance CompanyArchitect
I was responsible for overall architecture, design and technical vision for all of Falcon’s internal and customer-facing products, including underwriting, claims and insured systems.
As part of a small team, I led the adoption of Agile processes and tools including Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Jira, Selenium, SpecFlow, nUnit, and Jasmine, putting structure around development and streamlining delivery.
2012 - 2013
Redbox Instant by VerizonPrincipal Engineer
I was recruited to the redbox instant team to lead the architecture, design and development of platform systems and services as we launched redbox instant to market.
2005 - 2012
RedboxPrincipal Engineer and Development Manager
I joined redbox when it was a company of 30 people. Working on a small team of talented engineers, we utilized XP and lean practices like TDD and CD to drive redbox's explosive growth from 600 locations to nearly 25,000.
Eventually, I led the team responsible for building internal, enterprise systems used by our corporate and field employees.

Working on a small team, I helped rewrite Don's B2B website from classic ASP to ASP.NET.
